Its too late to be a pessimist

The title is very appropriate as the video talks about the place to which we belong, without which our sheer existence would vanish- the planet earth ;our "HOME". The video addresses to us homo sapiens-the wise species. Life - a miracle in the universe came into existence only 4 billion years ago. While human existence only two hundred thousand years ago, yet we have succeeded in disrupting the balance that is so essential to life. 

The video gives a glimpse of how the earth was formed and how it gracefully transformed into our home. where did we come from? Initially it was archeobacteria which were the vital ancestors of the species. Slowly and steadily life altered the atmosphere .Some animals adopted to nature while nature on the other hand adopted to them as well. Every species has a role to play no specie is harmful, in fact they all balance out nature.

The engine of life is is linkage. Nothing is self sufficient  in fact sharing is everything. We know absolutely nothing about the bonds that link life on earth. Life remains a mystery.

The homo sapiens despite their vulnerability have taken possession of every habitat and have conquered territories like no other species.After 190,000 nomadic years humans settled down no longer dependent on hunting. 

HOW CAN U CONQUER THE EARTH HUNGRY?

AGRICULTURE the first great revolution.

The invention of agriculture was the first greatest revolution in human existence that gave birth to cities, civilizations. Half of the humankind tills the soil. Its a pre-requisite for survival. in the video the energy from the sun is termed as "POCKETS OF SUNLIGHT " stored in the earth.

Faster and faster the earth's population in the last 60 years has only tripled and over 2 billion people have moved to the cities. Shenzhen with 100s of sky scrappers was just a village just 40 years ago. Megalopolis is just the symbol of the exploitation of the earth's resources.A megalopolis is a chain of roughly adjacent metropolitan areas.

Soon MACHINES replaced HANDS in the fields even though they produced food enough to feed 2 billion people most of the food production in the industrialized nations was used as livestock feed or bio fuel. on the contrary millions are dying each day without food. even though industrialization helped to get better harvests but it degraded the land year by year.

The more a country develops the more is its consumption of meat. How could the worlds increasing demand of meat be met? Recourse to concentration camps of cattle.Meat is being manufactured faster than the animals has become a daily routine where not a blade of grass grows. where thousands of trucks from all over bring tonnes of grain and soy and livestock food. 

Life is totally dependant on OIL.Auto-mobiles-symbol of comfort and progress. the planet has 900 million vehicles today.In Los angeles No. of cars=no of people. Then onwards distance is being counted in minutes and not miles.

More the world developed MORE GREW THE THIRST for energy.

Every where machines are digging the earth's surface.Excessive mining led to exhaustion of planets reserves. Excessive fishing is depleting the aquatic species. Excessive Deforestation has disrupted the balance of life.Rivers are drying out. the Amazon forests are reducing by 20%

DUBAI-is the symbol of the modernity which never fails to amaze the world.here nothing depends on nature. it has succeeded in  buliding artificial islands,it has no water but spends huge amounts to desalinate the water from the seas it has few resources no farm land but can import food grains from all over the world. All this because of -OIL.

We have forgotten that resources are limited . 500 million humans live in the worlds desert lands more than the pop of Europe. they know the value of using water sparingly. they are mainly dependant on fossil water which is too depleting reason being-non-renewable resource

Excessive exploitation of resources threatening life of the species.POOR are becoming poorer.hunger is spreading oil might run out soon. human activities are leaving large quantities of co2. Arctic ice cap is melting every year.sea levels are rising .
